-Scientists found out that male monkeys wash their body with their own urine.

-The smell may be putting out an irresistible scent to the female monkeys. They love it.

-But not only males do it. Females of several species do it too. They pee in their hands and then they rub the fluid all over their body.

-2 new words I've learned: Scent, Rub

-It is relevant to me because for a human it's disgusting. And I would never think an animal would do that.

-It is connected to our different natural enviroments in the world.

The animal in me

My favourite animal and the animal I think it describes me is a parrot named the Rainbow Lorikeet or in his scientific name Trichoglossus Haematodus. These parrots are very special, they connect really well with people. 2 years ago we went to Girona to buy some stuff, and we passed by an Animal Shop, and there was a Rainbow Lorikeey, so we bought it. They are not to cheap because they come from Australia, eastern Indonesia, but they are really worth it. Rainbow lorikeets usually travel together in pairs. They defend their pairs and nests aggressively against other Rainbow Lorikeets, no matter if his enemy is big or smaller than him, he will fight for his pair or nest. Like you can see in the picture, there parrots are very colourful, maybe thats because I like so much colourful things.

Summer 2010

This summer was great, but not as great as Summer 2011 will be. This summer I've done many thing, it was very amusing but a little sad too. My two best friends went to Ireland for one year, to study English, so I'm missing them. But we did many things together, we were almost every day together. I spend most of the summer in my tennis club with them too, chilling with my friends. We went to a concert in Barcelona... many things. But this 2011 summer is going to be even better, my friends and me are going to Argentina, it's gonna be amazing!
